Ola! When I heard of the Blog Friends Forever Tour, aimed at spreading the blogger love, I knew I had to sign up. I just love this community so much and I've met a lot of awesome friends in the almost-three years of existence of Oops! I Read A Book Again and I treasure them, my readers, and the bloggers I look up to SO MUCH. Blog Friends Forever Blog Hop is organized by the fabulous ladies at Fiction Fare and Swoony Boys Podcast. Be sure to check them out and follow their blogs!
Remember that blog feature called Under the Radar Friday where I spotlight books that need more attention and praise and love? Well, I'm doing something similar today by spotlighting ten under the radar bloggers and their blogs. It's actually hard to qualify if a blog is under the radar so I just mean that THESE BLOGS NEED MORE FOLLOWERS, READERS, ATTENTION, AND LOVE. The bloggers behind them are awesome and I love their content! So, read more to find out my elite 10! And to join the giveaways!
First up is Krystianna! She's one of the first bloggers I've followed since I started Oops! I Read A Book Again. We have pretty much the same tastes in books and we started blogging nearly around the same time too. And hey, she gives out music recs!
Chiara is AMAZING in everything. I love her reviews and her discussion posts and she's also an author! I'm so excited for her upcoming novels and we need to force her to finish them soon. HAHA! More importantly, our mutual love for Pynch is the key in this. She has A+ taste in music as well and she's Australian! And you know all Aussies are great. Ha!
Kayla @ The Thousand Lives
I discovered Kayla and her blog when she hosted Contemporary Conversations last March. And I've been following her blog ever since. She has synesthesia and she has this feature called Saturated Reads where she shares what colors she see when she reads a certain book! I also love her focus on mental illness in books and we have similar tastes in books as well. So I pretty much believe whatever Kayla says. Heh.
Next is a Filipino blogger and a friend of mine, Miel! He takes such amazing photos I cry with envy with each one. We've read Vanishing Girls and More Happy Than Not together and up until August, he was active in the blogosphere! Sadly, he's now working in a cruise and seeing the world so he doesn't have time for blogging for now. But check out his previous posts and I'm sure he has some new content in store for us. I'll go beg him to do so. Haha! Guys, his reviews are so beautiful, you have to check them out. Tsk tsk, writers.
Mel @ The Daily Prophecy
Mel and her love for all things fairytale! I also like her reviews, which are just the right length for me. With all pertinent details. It's hard to explain but I also listen to Mel's recommendations.
Inah and Jem @ The Bibliophile Confessions
These fabulous girls are both Filipinos and I'm so happy I've already met them! Along with Miel. They're fun to be with and to talk to. Inah and I, especially, bond over bands we go gaga about. So basically we have the SAME music tastes. Jem is a darling too! I'd listen to these girls' recs anytime.
I feel a sort of kinship with Miguel because I feel like he's my baby brother! He's young but very articulate and GOSH, his reviews! I particularly love his review of We Were Liars and basically we love the same books and the same music. WOO, twenty one pilots! Hozier! Everything. If Miguel recommends it, I'm getting on it RIGHT AWAY. Also, our mutual love for Elizabeth Fama will forever bond us. Hee.
OH MY GOSH, the pretty! Every time I go to Cee's blog, I'm treated with such beauty, I salivate all around my keyboard. Haha! I also love her feature Essential Reading, where she asks authors to share what books their characters would be reading. Plus, music tastes! HALSEY! Her reviews are also unique in their format and she even writes letters to books. Cee is an endless fountain of fresh ideas and GO FOLLOW HER NOW!
Charlotte and Cee are friends and there never has been an explosion of graphic design talent more than this combo. Ha! Anyway, like Cee's blog, Charlotte's is so pretty to look at. And you see the effort and time she dedicates to each post. Sadly, life has been too busy for Charlotte recently, having moved to Australia for uni, but check out her older posts! I'm excited to read whatever Charlotte publishes in the future.
These best friends and sisters-in-law are such inspirations to me! They post regularly and read a lot of NA too so I go to them for NA and adult recs too. We also have the same tastes in books and they also find non-contemporary sometimes too daunting to read. Basically, I feel like I can be them years down the line. Hee. Go follow these ladies!
And that's who you should be following! How about you? Which blogs are under the radar for you? Hit me up with them so I can check them out! We should spread the love in this community and I'd love to know more bloggers too!
