Mr. Robot

Guys, this show took over my life. I marathoned it for two days (thinking I have work and class until 8pm) so I can watch the finale last week. ALAS, THE FINALE WAS POSTPONED. Since then, I have nothing else on my mind. I keep on texting and chatting up friends who watch it too to tell them my theories and ALL MY FEELINGS. There's nothing like this show right now, guys. It's such an edgy and dark psychological thriller with an unreliable narrator/main character. The cinematography and script and acting are A+ too. A+ across the board. WATCH THIS SHOW NOW AND REVEL WITH ME.

South by Hippo Campus

Hippo Campus = still my it band. They're releasing a new EP soon (Y NO ALBUM Y) and they dropped the eponymous track early this month and I still listen to it EVERY DAY because that's just how good it is. AAAAAAAAAAAAA

Submarine Soundtrack by Alex Turner

Dawn randomly mentioned Alex Turner on Twitter (we were talking about a Hippo Campus member's hairstyle) so I ended up being obsessed with the soundtrack he made for one of my favorite movies of EVER, Submarine. STUCK IN THE PUZZLE remains my favorite song out of it.

Talking is Hard by WALK THE MOON

Obviously, this record got a lot of plays because WALK FUCKING DOPE THE MOON WENT HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES AND I SAW THEM.

Not pictured: Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I marathoned this one guys as well and I'm so excited for season three because THE GANG <3

How did your August go? Any film, TV, or music recommendations? More importantly, what great books did you read this month?

  1. So many books this month! I really enjoyed The Wrath and the Dawn and I can't freaking wait for the sequel. I NEED IT. I've wanted to read Ready Player One and The Martian for a looooong time but I have yet to pick them up. Really excited for the movies, though. I have to read the books before I go see them, obviously :)
