{#CatchUpClub} Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

So at the last #bookishparty hosted by Judith of Paperiot and Cassie of Books with Cass, I realized that I haven't read most of the must-read books and series in the YA landscape and I absolutely don't know all these book boyfriends everyone's swooning over. I felt like someone will strip me of my "blogger card". But apparently, I wasn't alone and some also voiced out how they feel left out. And we banded to form the #CatchUpClub! Such a catchy name, right?

Catch Up Club is hosted by Katie at Bibliotekit, Yasmine at Yasmine's Public Library, Jessica at Lovin Los Libros, Emily of Oh Magic Hour and yours truly. For two weeks, we will read a book from the pushed series, whether it's the first book to finally get started on that series or the second or third book you've been postponing to read. Why pushed, you might ask? Because we have a BOOK PUSHER! Someone who has read the book and who will tell you why you NEED to read this series. Don't we all need that push? At the end of those two weeks, if you're inclined to do so, you can post your review of the book you read! Notice how I used 'you'? Because we're inviting you to join us!

And for July 10 to 24, we will be reading any book from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer! I, personally, will read Cinder. So stoked for this!

Here's our banner for the week and feel free to click on it to get to Emily's post on why you have to read Cinder! Emily of Oh Magic Hour is our first book pusher! And because she's so awesome and generous, she even has a giveaway for a $20 GC from the bookseller of your choice!!!

So go sign up! Feel free to put our banner on your blog or on your post (if you'll post about joining but no need!). Also, don't forget to use the hashtag #CatchUpClub to discuss about your reading progress, check up on anyone or just chat with us! Hoping to see your tweets and your blogs in the linky!

And for the questions!

1. I can push for Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, Article 5 by Kristen Simmons (It's not really one of the top YA reads but IT IS GOOD), Katie McGarry's books, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, Black City by Elizabeth Richards, Divergent by Veronica Roth, Tempest by Julie Cross and I'll add more once I can think of them!

2. I definitely want to catch up on A LOT! Shadow and Bone, Vampire Academy, Jennifer Armentrout's books, The Mortal Instruments series, The Infernal Devices series, basically everything I should have read, I haven't.

By the way, this is an awards-free blog. I appreciate it though, really. :D
